I've been assigned to customer care, and the work is sheer hell (well not exactly, but believe you me, it's close enough to make an eternity of being pain and horror seem more preferable.), I swear my english is suffering as well. The work isnt hard but it's tiresome. It's quite mind numbing having to listen to people bitch and whine about thier phones every single day and almost all of them seem to have this notion that our sole purpose is to service him/her, only.

No matter how many times we tell them that there are other mobiles that were sent in before them, they still go on and on about how we're taking sooo long to get to thier phone. The pay is peanuts, I get paid a grand total of 10 dollars a day. The sales staff get 15, which is way whacked considering I do alot more work. I'm really considering asking for a raise or else I'm gonna quit. To much work for to little pay = extortion, I don't care if I was hired as a "part timer".

That's another thing that gets me. I'm supposed to be a "part-time" employee. Can anyone clarify the definition of "part-time" for me? I'm working 9 to 6, 6 days a week, which is the exact same hours as the so called "full-time" employees, I do just as much work as them and get barely a fraction of the pay. meh...

Anyway, If anyone has a problem with their phones, come see me, I might not be able to get you a discount, but if you ask nicely I might just be able to speed things up a bit. ehehehehe. ^^
cheers.

W.o.W!!

The post below was copied from http://gamesradar.com, and I take no credit for writing it. I've never actually played World of Warcraft, but due to my lack of finanacial support(no bloody credit card) and far more persuasive arguements as to why it sucks, i've never tried. Here's an article detailing one man's dislike of a game we should all be hating. lol.

World of Warcraft

Hated by: Staff Contributor Tyler Nagata

MMORPG = Mostly Men Online Role-Playing as Girls. With over five million users worldwide, World of Warcraft can boast a virtual population that rivals the city of Los Angeles, California. With such a large pool of players, you can count on meeting your fair share of soon to be divorced husbands masquerading as sexy Night Elves as they swan and swoon over flirtatious 16 years old boys plying their cyber-sex skills for some spare gold.

When you're not competing with farmers - players who repeatedly kill the same monsters over and over again to sell gold and items online - you can always brush up on your l337 speak by turning to the general chat channel for some of the worst internet arguments of all time.

PlayerA: OMG ony wtf pwnd us 4 teh tenth time
PlayerB: STFU u noob
PlayerA: /cry

Translation:
PlayerA: Oh my god, Onyxia has defeated our group ten times and I've lost 8 hours of my life.
PlayerB: Shut the f*ck up you loser.
PlayerA: I am crying because you are right.

Above: A sultry elf. About a million little icons on the screen. Pages of tedious text. Do we have to explain why you should hate this game?

If you manage to find a group of like-minded friends and form a guild, you can look forward to six hour marathons and repeated deaths as you attempt to conquer the game's hardest dungeons in 40 man raid groups. Frustration from repeated failures in these epic dungeon trips will eventually turn you and your friends against each other before your guild dissolves and joins the ranks of other burnt out crusades. It was an odd experience. There were about 5 others ahead of me waiting in the "interview" room (I believe it was just a confrence room of some sort). It was so silent. It was so quiet that it would have had to get louder in order for someone to call it pin-drop silence. The interview itself was short, they asked me questions and I tried to, as vuina put it, "wow them with my superior command of the language", Lol. Doubt they noticed. They asked me what I was good at, and I said I was good at talking, which most of you already know. Hopefully, I'll be able to land a sales position =P. No Idea yet. haha. Will update when they call me.

On another note, Vuina and Ivan Chin got in to JIS for form 6!! CONGRATS YOU TWO!!! =D I'm not exactly sure who else applied for it, but if you got in, congratulations to you as well =)

Singapore oh Singapore....

Lol, I'm such a terrible blogger. All my posts are days late. Anyway, I just got back from Singapore early monday morning, like 1:30am. Lol. The flight was cool, last few rows were empty so I managed to get one and lie out. We had this V.I.P. , whoever he/she was and because of he/she they rushed everyone on the plane first so that he/she could board last. Like wtheck...seriously. And when we arrvied in Brunei, we had to dock with a "special" area meant for the V.I.P. only, so it was like another 15 minutes before we actually got off the plane. So very exasperating.

On another note, Singapore was really fun. On day one I went to my favourite bookstore; Borders and bought about 200 dollars worth of books. (crazy right?) According to one of my mom's friends Borders Singapore makes the most money per square metre, lets just say that's alot of money. Oh and on the same day (after my Borders shopping spree), we went to visit another of my mom's friends, and she told us she had 30% discount coupons for Borders. I was flabberghasted!!

The food was, as usual, exceptional. My picks for restaurants that you should definitely visit (in no particular order) are:

Big O's Cafe

Carl Jr.'s

Crystal Jade Restaurants, (both the ones at Ngee Ann City and the one at Paragon)

Burger King (LOL. I'm sorry, I just had to)

Sakae Sushi

Sushi Tei (It's a tottaly different restaurant then the one here, Sushi Tei Brunei is just using the same name)

My favourite picks for shopping destinations on this trip (again, in no particular order) are:

Ngee Ann City (Takashimaya)

Raffles City

Far East Plaza

Lucky Plaza

Funan Centre (I.T. Mall)

Sim Lim Square

Vivo City

Shaw House

Pacific Plaza

Wheelock Place

Ah I can't wait to go back to Singapore again Lol. Alright, that's all from me for now, I'll be leaving you guys with two new shots I took at Wheelock Place. Cheers =)

of glass and steel... by ~deviantRealism

then the tower was wrought... by ~deviantRealism

Very late update.

Ah, meant to do this earlier but I procrastinated to much. Waiting for the moment when it hits the ground and it's gone in the blink of an eye. That perfect raindrop, beautiful in all aspects, from all angles...just gone. What would it be like to stand there? Able to see each drop before it fell, and hearing the sound of those that fall, that hollow note, just one but one sound that echoes through all eternity. Our lives are like raindrops, perfect yet utterly fragile, beautiful yet so flawed and then when we least expect it, our lives end...the raindrop hits the ground. They say a raindrop is made of three parts water and one part dirt. How different are they from our lives? All of us have dirt in our lives, all of us have sinned, some...more than others. Is it really so hard to imagine that perfect raindrop being the least bit dirty? The truth is that we, like raindrops never fall without dirt...without sin. A raindrop, like us, has it's purity, it is 3 parts water. For all the good that we have done, some of us still come out more dirty than the raindrop. If only we could be like it,three parts water, one part dirt. Never completely clean but more so than it is dirty. If we're not cleaner than a single drop of rain then we should strive to be like it and then after...we should strive to remove all the dirt from our lives and then maybe...maybe we'll find that flawless raindrop...four parts water, zero parts dirt...utterly pure.

Ramblings~

Mood: Thoughtful
Listening to: Middle of Nowhere by Hot Hot Heat
Reading: Vellum by Hal Duncan
Watching: Grey's Anatomy

*note: I have no idea where this came from, it just came, and I just started typing.

________________________________________________
You know what's the problem with broken things?

We forget about them.

When something gets broken, it's usually followed by this period in time where we try everything in our power to fix it. Eventually...we move on, we put the broken pieces behind us and we keep going forward. We forget. Why is it we never remember where we put that broken door knob or that torn photograph or that bent key. It's because we forget about the broken things. Some people keep the broken things in front of them, all the time. Constantly reminding themselves that it's broken but somewhere along the way these people don't realise thier breaking something else and all it leads to is something else being forgotten. Why do people forget? Why is it we can never just remember, without the hurt, the pain or the guilt or some other depressing feeling. Maybe it just hurts to much, maybe subconciously we don't want to remember the toy with the broken wheel or the empty space on the other side of the bed. Broken hearts are the worse, they give you an ultimatum; "put the broken pieces behind you or we break you too". Usually we choose not to get ripped into a million pieces, torn asunder by the catastrophic havoc caused by a broken heart or at least we try. We try to choose the easy way out, it's human nature but sometimes I stop and I think to myself; what is it like? What is it like to have your soul shatter and you're there watching it fall slowly, each shard caught by the clutches of time slowing down, each shard crashing painfully on to the hard, cold, stone floor. And you're there, you're there looking at those shards and you're looking at yourself as well and you just stare and you don't know what to do. What do you do? What can we do? What can anyone do? We just stand there and stare... Then we realise that our heart is still here, it's still beating, we're still alive and we...we have to move on. We all do...the wheel turns...life goes on...

A new day, a new blog,

mood: jovial
reading: Vellum by Hall Duncan
listening to: Battlestar Galactica Season 2 OST
watching: Battlestar Galactica Season 3
playing: Guild Wars
thinking: I should be studying >.<

Hey all, decided to try my hand at this again.
